The Philips 5000 series iron is perfect for everyday on the go ironing. It heats up very quickly, produces a consistent and adequate amount of steam; hence it is perfect to get rid of stubborn creases speedily. The large soleplate makes Ironing is faster, enabling the iron to glide smoothly across a variety of fabrics. In terms of comfort and ease; it is a fairly lightweight iron, with an easy and comfortable grip. Controls are sturdy, simple and user-friendly whilst maintaining an aesthetic appeal. Th eco function effective for light ironing, other fabrics also sufficiently catered for by the range of temperatures. The cord length is sufficient for everyday use on a standard sized ironing board. It is abit more of a challenge with vertical steaming/ironing to a degree; however may be more suitable a clothing rack. The vertical ironing/steam function is really effective and adds a fun factor, bearing in mind that this is a steam iron, and not a garment steamer. Looking forward to putting this function in action. Access to filling the tank is convenient because of the large filling hole. The tank size is generous, does not need frequent refilling; unless added steam is needed for an extended iron session. Unfortunately the iron does not include a filling container, however their is the benefit of using tap water, since the calc n clean function is a nifty added feature. The iron is easy to empty and store, easy to clean, the soleplate looks the same after 3weeks of regular use, and still performs as well as it's first use. Overall, the Philips 5000 series iron offers an easy experience, would recommend for quick, on the go use, appealing to convenience and effectiveness.

As a busy Mom and wife I always look for appliances that work fast and easy. So of course when I saw how fast the iron heated up and how it easy it was to operate, it got a thumbs up from me. i also loved the large soleplate as it covered a large area of my clothing as it lifts the creases effortlessly. The Philips 5000 Steam Iron is non-drip and does not burn your clothes, the setting are big and easy to use and i also love the long chord. I would definitely recommend it to wives, mothers, single dads or students and anyone who does not want to spend hours ironing!

Firstly I would like to comment on the appearance of the product ,the iron is very unique and beautiful, I can choose it in a shelf full of other brands. I like the fact that it is very easy to use and my daughter of 13 years also uses it without difficulty. It does not burn clothes but produces enough heat that straightened the clothes nicely. I use it for all my clothes ,all materials and none of them gets burned . The iron does not produce a lot of smoke and it does not leak water when steaming this is the best feature I like . The plate underneath is very smooth and does not stick to clothes. This is really a great product.

I was first attracted to this iron due to the stylish and vibrant color. Steam function on iron is impressive as i easily used this function to remove stubborn creases from denim. Iron plate stayed hot for a long time and was able to handle a lot of clothes. Iron is strong and sturdy. Temperature control dial perfect for different fabrics of clothing. Will definitely recommend the Philips 5000 steam iron to my family and friends.

I love this Iron 5000 Series it has everything you need ,You can use it to almost everything silk,synthetics and cotton linen. Easy to use ,good quality and I love the colour. I have I ironed my jackets and other clothes it works wonders. Anyone who is confused whether to buy or not ,just do it . Its worth it!!!

This is an amazing iron. The plate warms up within 10 seconds so no long waiting to reach required temperature. The cord is quite long so movement with ironing is not restricted. I have not experienced any material getting stuck on the ironing plate which is great. This 5000 series is not loud and noisy when you press the steam button anf the spray function is awesome since it is very directional - goes exactly where u want it to spray. Your clothing items does not have wet marks due to condensation from the water in chamber. The iron plate glides over the fabric you are ironing. The verticle steam function is an added bonus and works perfectly. Saves me from purchasing a clothes steamer. I enjoyed experiencing this 5000 series iron.
