Very Quick process and easy to assemble. Great results. Quality of the pasta really impressive

I have arthritis in my hands but adore fresh pasta and I have found my renewed love of making it. I was sceptical at first but I have found the machine so simple to use quick and accurate that I can decide at short notice to make pasta for lunch etc! Such a great addition to my kitchen! I can't recommend it enough!

The pasta maker really opened my eyes to the variations of pasta I can make. There are some additional features I think would be useful. 1. Have a mix/knead only feature. Allow to knead the dough/mix the flour without the use of the scale where it doesn't extrude immediately afterwards but stops. 2. Have a safety feature that allows the extruder to turn in the opposite direction. I've noticed it's only in the program, for example, if I've made my dough too dry, the extruder struggles. Adding the "reverse" extruder feature, combined with the first point, would enable me to add a little water and mix again to then extrude the pasta. It currently is a little tricky as I've had to struggle to take the dough out of the extruder after turning it off, to then re-weigh it and put it back in, add a little water and try again. Overall, it gets the job done once all the ingredients are right. Weve made so many variations of pasta. We also use it to knead our bread dough which is great, it would be better to have a button for that so the extruder doesn't turn on immediately and it can knead for longer.

Having made pasta by hand for several years, I was not convinced that this machine would produce decent extruded pasta, but I was wrong. It’s so simple and quick. Making pasta now takes 15 mins start to finish. Washing up is a breeze, and there’s very little wasted dough. Penne has been the most difficult, it collapses when cooked, but the other shapes work well. Instructions are pretty awful, and the Philips website accessed via the QR scan is out of date and provides little instruction on pasta making.

The pasta it produces is great, but we have had a few niggling issues with the pasta maker as it keeps giving "E1" error message (lid or extruder not in correct place). Initially we emptied the flour as we thought it was the extruder that was an issue, reassembled and got the error again. In the end we swapped the extruder and it worked fine. But is is a pain and messy to have to clear up the flour afdter emptying the pasta maker. This has done this 3 times now, and we have found others ways to eliminate the error, repeatedly removing/adding the lid, and also pressing the starrt button numerous times, but it has taken us a while to find a way around the issue.

Were are the recipies? The machine is expensive and I would have expected a recipe book to come with it. Also all you have is pictures from 1 to 30 and no explanation.
